Summer is in full swing with warm days and lots of outdoor time. Since your Phantom screens are getting maximum use right now, we thought it was a good time to remind you about taking care of them.
Here are some great ways to preserve the longevity of your screen mesh:
1). When the screens are not in use, make sure to roll it back into its protective housing to keep dirt and dust from collecting on it.
2). Keep dirt and dust out of tracks. Clean regularly using Phantom's greaseless silicone spray to ensure its smooth operation.
3). If needed, clean the mesh of the screen with a mild detergent, such as dish soap, and a soft brush. Wait until the mesh is fully dry to roll back into protective housing.

Phantom motorized screens solution for Minneapolis restaurant
The Il Gatto restaurant in Minneapolis was looking for a screening solution for their bi-fold windows. They wanted to be able to open the wall of windows, providing fresh air and an outdoor feel to their already lively atmosphere.
The advantage of going with Phantom retractable screens means the screens are only down in place when needed. Most of the year, when it is too cool or too windy to enjoy outdoor eating, the screen mesh rolls up into the protective aluminum housing. This limits exposure to the elements: dust and debris don't collect.
And with the remote control, the ease of putting the screens up and down is a definite plus. Each screen has it's own Somfy motor and can be operated with the push of a button.
Using local suppliers, we were able to anodize the aluminum providing a match that blends in seamlessly with the existing construction. The black SuperScreen mesh provides not only strength, but great visibility when looking out.
We in Minnesota know better than most how great it is to enjoy the summer when we have it. Bringing the outdoors in...with Phantom's retractable screen solutions!

Phantom’s line of motorized, retractable screens are installed at PGA course.
The new clubhouse at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN was a project completed in 2010. The plans called for Phantom’s Executive motorized screens to complete the porch seating area.
Working together with Zeman Construction and YA Architects, we installed 7 individual screen units around the outdoor, covered seating area. This particular project incorporated our recessed model. With the tracks being hidden in the posts and the screen rollers tucked up inside hidden cavities, it makes for truly hidden screens. When needed, the motorized screen units drop down 15 feet to screen the entire porch. They are controlled with a multi-channel remote control, programmed to operate the units together, or individually.
With the benefits of a retractable screen porch, restaurants are able to expand their serving areas and extend their outdoor seating hours. The screens not only provide insect protection but they protect from sun, wind and blowing dust and debris as well.
